Who we are
Fareham & District Beekeepers' Association is a community of beekeepers based in and around Fareham, Hampshire.
Founded in 1919, we have been helping people learn about and enjoy beekeeping for more than a century. Today, our members range from those taking their first steps into beekeeping to experienced beekeepers with many years of knowledge to share.
We are affiliated to the Hampshire Beekeepers' Association (HBA) and the British Beekeepers' Association (BBKA).
Beekeeping is never far away.
From May to August, we hold apiary meetings at different locations, giving members the opportunity to work with bees, develop their practical skills and share their experience.
During the autumn and winter months, our indoor meetings feature guest speakers covering a wide range of bee-related topics.
We also support local community events around Fareham with honey, beekeeping products and opportunities to see a live honeybee colony in an observation hive.
